this may be an issue with printer or something but i was wondering if anyone had seen this before??

-the application is a work order request form that generates a pdf of form w/ user's input filled in.
-a unique "request number" is created and is put in the pdf via imagecreate() - black text on a white background.
for some people, the image/request number displays fine but when printed, is a black fuzzy block (see image below)
