I am installing a development server and need some help. The operating system is Windows XP Home edition. On the server I want, amongst other things, Apache2.2, PHP4 and PHP5. But I don't know what is the best way to connect Apache and PHP. What are the preferred way to install it, should I install it as a CGI binary or a Apache module? Why? Does it make any difference that I want to install 2 different versions of PHP?
I also found a file that I don't know what it does. The name is php5apache2_2_filter.dll. Can someone please tell what this file is, I can't seem to find an explanation anywhere.
