[RESOLVED] CSS Problems in IE and FF

'ello all.

I have a CSS problem and I'm afraid I'm not too good with it. :o

In FireFox, my DIV spills over another while in IE it is perfect.

Also, my "Narrow" bar in FireFox is perfect and jacked in IE.

I know it isn't pretty ... it's a work in progress.

Any help would be appreciated!

What DIV are you talking about? Other than the 'narrow bar', the page looks the same in FF as it does in IE?

As for the narrow bar, it appears as though IE is treating FORM elements as a block element, while FF simply displays it inline. Try adding something like this to your CSS stylesheet:

FORM {
    display: inline;
}

Well, it is actually the DIVs in the alternating rows for the listings.

In FF2, I get about 3px overflow. In IE 6, it is fine.

But in IE6, I get about 3px of whitespace in the narrow DIV, aligned vertically with the section I get the overflow for the listings in FF.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the tip on the form not displaying inline. I got that fixed up. 🙂

If you set a width to your DIV it will overflow, avoid setting width to your DIV's.

Removing the width from the row and container DIVs worked perfectly.
