file sharing in php

how can i get the name and information about the files shared on my network computers.
as we do in windows by "\IP address"
or is there some special function?
pleae let me know how can i do this. i just want to upload those files automtcally to my server which are shared on my friends computer means known ip

Found this bug report, and the last note added by "dr_no at moonraker dot com" was rather insightful:

You can fopen() UNC paths, e.g. "\myserver\myshare\file.ext", but if you're running Apache as an NT service, it's probably running under the LocalSystem account. If you read the bug report, you'll see that this account is severely hindered when it comes to accessing network shares. So, you'll probably end up elevating the privilieges of the service (as described in the report) to accomplish this.

I strongly recommend that you do not use Windows File Sharing over the internet.

Most systems administrators do not consider it safe to do so and hence it's blocked on almost every firewall.

Many production web servers will have egress filtering on their networks which prohibits outbound traffic on this protocol too.

Therefore, what you're suggesting is not possible in most network environments.
