[RESOLVED] Browser check in IE7 PLEASE

Hi, can someone check this page in IE7 for me and tell me what is happening.

Works fine in IE6/FF/etc but browser cam shows funnies in IE7 and I don't got xp.

The bottom portion of text does not lie on the white background in IE7.

Yep, I thought that was happening. The browser cam snapshots are showing the footer for IE7, should be off-screen at the bottom of the page.

Good old mickey soft, another marvelous browser release. With any luck it is just me style sheet switching, if I feed IE7 the moz sheet it may conform. Wish me luck.

Already got it thanks, but Im on W2K so no IE7 engine.

Yep, IE7 recognises the min-height directive and I was feeding it the IE6 sheet. Just hope nothing else in the IE sheet matters.

Isn't IE Tab based on what version of IE you have? So if you have IE6 on your computer, IE Tab will render as IE6.

i think u are correct...

you dont need XP to have IE 7... im running win2k here at work and i have IE7 running fine

Does it. I only know from the IE7 blog last year, or the year before, when the talk was it would be XP only so I never tried to dl it. It certainly never comes up as an option on microsoft update, which is unusual. When IE 6 came out they tried to force ot down your neck - which was very nice considering it crashed your system until SP1 fixed things.

I'll have to install it on 1 machine to test - I know you can't have 6 & 7 running alongside each other.

When to stop worrying about IE 6 is the next question - I definitely don't support IE5 anymore and I'll drop IE6 just as soon as I can get away with it - seperate style sheets full of twists and turns just to get it to do what you bloody well told it to do already GARH.

EPJS: it is cos I've got IE6 on here that I asked for someone to test in IE7.

Well according to http://www.tech-recipes.com/internet_explorer_ie7_tips1188.html that page, you can, but I wasn't able to get it to work.

I can't even donwload the thing!! I just get

"Internet Explorer 7 is not available for your operating system"

when I go to the downlaod page; I'm using W2K Pro.

Now this little Dell is badged for XP and it came with a copy of XP Home, but it's at least 256Mb light on memory to do so. So I went 'backwards' (I don't think so) to W2K.

So where did you/they get it? MS downlaod wont even give me a link cos it sees I'm not running XP.

Maybe I can get a beta release from dev centre but not on this machine, oh no it's too important. Goy some others that don't matter so I'll try with one of those.
