Problem with html coding in php

i have a site using an ftp and php and i want to put a picture on the front page of the site using html code but the problem is that the html code is nto turned on and the option to do so is not within the administration preferences on the site...can anyone help me as in do i need to edit a file or what thanks

yes i know thats the code u use but my site has the html code turned off i need to know how to turn it on as in when i tried to use html code for a picture the picture just disappeared bc the site does not have html coding enabled and you cannot enable it from the administration page so i do not know where to find it

I would contact the company that is hosting your site. If you can't do it from the admin setup that would be about your only option.

I'm curious to know what host doesn't support html by default...

Matt.. this does not make sense. HTML is the default way of encoding a page. php is only a tool to create valid html / xhtml pages. I think you are misunderstanding something. html will not be 'turned off'.

ya i know that html coding is what is the base of php but whenever i try to add a block and add and html link to get a picture whenever i hit submit the picture disappears and when i go back to re edit the code the html has disappeared as well so for some reason it seems that the html code is disabled when i am creating blocks

Maybe you should expand a bit on how you are creating your pages. If you have ftp you can just upload your pages, can't you?

not a page im tryin to create i am simply creating a block that is located top center on the home page and you create this block through the administration panel and i enter the html code in the request form for this block and the immage will appear inside the request once i put in the html code but once i hit submit to put the block officially on the homepage the immage does not make it to the homepage and when i got to re edit the block the html code has changed and the immage is no longer there

Please use punctuation.
It sounds like you're talking about building a site through some kind of online tool, not by writing PHP code. If that's the case, this is not an appropriate forum. Ask your webhost.

man this is one forum full of helpful guys i mean some are nice and try to answer your question but the other half like to nag i mean great forum guys way to ruin an experience and i hop eyou like the lack of punctuation in this post thanks to all that helped and to all those that didnt get a life and start helping instead of nagging or just dont read the forum anymore

well to be honest... you came here asking questions without providing any code or any indication as to who is hosting it

in summary this was your first post:

youll find in a forum like this that helping US will lead to US helping YOU.... be straight forward, provide code examples and give some details... then and only then can anyone really begin to help you... until then however we'd be just taking blind steps in the dark and frankly its a waste of time

Since you brought it up, I'd just like to take this opportunity to say that this forum has some of the smartest, friendliest, and most helpful people I've ever encountered.  

This is two threads that you have started that have turned into you criticizing the people who volunteer here.  When I get something for free - and then I don't like it - criticizing just doesn't enter my mind.  I'm beginning to think you're a troll just looking to get people irritated.
