Getting this message in bold

I need the message below to be in bold, it's sent to an email address. Any ideas how to get it bold. Unfortunately when you put <b> or <strong> tags within the "" the words <b> or <strong> just appear oinstead of the text being styled to bold.

If you want it to be bold, you have to sent it in html format. To do that, you must set correct headers. Check out the manual page for mail():

Mitch is correct - the mail() function is perfectly adequate for this purpose - but setting SMTP headers manually can be a fiddly and tedious business. I'd suggest using an email library such as PHPMailer, which will insulate you from the clumsy details.
