I've tried uploading a PHP script, but when I visit the page, the PHP code is just displayed I believe it's because PHP is not set up. My web page is registered to NetworkSolutions.com Can anyone tell me how I am to set PHP up so that my pages will display correctly? Thanks in advance.
PHP should already be set up. Make sure the file has the proper extension. Also, ask Network Solutions for help in this matter. they should be able to give you 1-on-1 advice.
I'll ask the obvious question, just in case:
Does your web hosting plan include PHP? (Many Windows-server-based plans do not, and many [most?] free hosting plans to not.)
Also, what is the file extension of the script? Are you positive it's .php (do you have the "Hide file extensions for known file types" disabled in Windows)?
upload this file shown below and name it info.php
<?php phpinfo(): ?>
If you do not see a long table of data about the PHP installation on that server then PHP is not installed
