can framesets be php?

ok this might seem like a stupid question, but can framesets be php? I have tried this before but seems to give me weird results?

so lets say i want to make a session security on a frameset page so i rename from .html to .php and put in my code before any frameset tags.

i have an admin section and want to protect the frameset?

this does seem to work so well, is there a reason for this?

Hi,

there is no reason why not. As long as the output is a valid set of frameset tags.
However, one could wonder why you are using frames..

there are two reasons why im using framesets for this,
1. it is an admin section and therefore it is not neccessary for search engines to find it and index it
2. an old admin section im using from a previous developer, so cutting down on time and using his frameset admin

1 => Use a robot.txt file to avoid it from being indexed.
2 => fair point. However, if you are upgrading it anyway ;-). But no. Fair point.
