PHP Coding Help Required

Hi this may be a bit more than a standard newbie thing but i am pretty new to php coding and am struggling on making a members area in php on a website so that when one member logins in they will see one page but this needs to happen with each member even if it means a scripts is there so when they login in they are redirected to a folder on a web server but cant seem to grasp it.

Anyway.. Where are you stuck? (Please don't ask me to write the whole thing for you. It is not going to happen. This is a support forum, not an 'I'll write you a website'-forum).

In short:
You need a login system
You need a field in your users'table with the location where you want to send them, or you need to define the page based on a used_id field.

I have no insight on how you arrange your usermanagement / website sections, so cannot give much more info at the moment. Be a bit more specific, and we'll what we can do!?

Sorry, not i seem to forget about punctuation and my spelling is not all great.

Basically i have password protected folders on a webserver.

But need to know the basics on a home page, For example user logs in and is redirected to a folder on the server, Where then an index file for that folder would be displayed.

Sorry for been a newbie but i dont have much knowledge on this really

hm.. So you are new-new.. I would suggest for you to:
- Get somewhat comfortable with (X)HTML before venturing into PHP.. After all.. PhP has to create valid (X)HTML to produce a working website.

A place I always liked for that was HTMLGoodies.

Furthermore.. There are loads of good tutorials on the phpbuilder website (So outside the forums, just phpbuilder.com). Also, on my website I have some basic tut's on how to get started with PhP, and there are loads of them around.

The best way is just to get started. Define a small project (A login page, and a way to get the variables from one page to the next, and compare them to variables you have defined in the next page, set a session variable, and load a third page, to show that the user is logged in). Once you manage a relatively symple project like that (Although if you are really new, this may take you at first an afternoon to get working!) you can add on to it.

Obviously.. I could whip upa script for you, but in the end you would be back here every day with another little thing to built.. Sorry.. not trying to be harsh, but trying to protect you from potential lazyness 🙂 I treat my students the same way ;-) (Yeah, they hate me at times, but all love me when they finish and get great jobs ;-) )

i do have a little knowledge of php coding, such as php form to mail but really need direction, for how to create a php coding so that a member can log in and be directed to just there member page and not know anything about other members.

I am willing to pay if someone is able to provide coding to give a members area so that each member has there own folder.

I am able to check php coding for how it works but been dislexic makes it a little harder really
