index.php?=page & menu help

Hello,

I currently am new sorta in the php field. Basically I haven't really made my own php scripted site. So I am learning as I go.

I want to do something that shows like: www.mysite.com/index.php?=hosting

Then on the hosting page I would display my content.

Ho would I go about doing that and including a right and left side menu?

This is what I currently have for my page

Add a variable name to your URL query string, e.g.: index.php?page=hosting. Then you can simply reference the value in your script as $_GET['page'].

Or the URL could be index.php?hosting .
And you could use $argv[0] to reference to it.

i need to know how to do that. could someone setup a test page and zip all the files up so i can work off it.

I did try, I wouldn't be posting here if I didn't try. I thought this was a support site not a paying site..

In my first post I attached what I have. I just need someone to help put it into a page. Maybe zip the files up and attach it here so I have something to work off of.

What you have is one page.
You will need an index.php page to load those pages in (use require) and use one of the methods mentioned above to get which page you would like.

Load this page as
index.php?hosting
and as
index.php?page=hosting

edit: Still think you are lazy. All the answers were given to you. It is support for those who need help, and seriously try to understand what is happening. Asking for somebody to build a site for you is more than support, it is giving them a project.

Wait wait brah, I never said make a site for me. I make my own stuff. I asked for support and just saying "$argv[0]" or "$GET['page']" will NOT help me. That's the reason I came here. Not to get told to put "$argv[0]" or "$GET['page']" in a page cause I already did that. You never said to put

anywhere in a page. Saying "no sense in us helping if you do not try, you do not pay us enough" will not help me any furthur then I already am or I wouldn't be here posting. I don't appreciate getting flamed on brah. If you call your self support I would consider changing and acting more like one.

So you ask us how to display the content, how to make a left and right menu, and how to refer between pages. That is asking for building a site. Especially if you start asking for pages being zipped up and all.

Please do not jump to conclusions. You might want to check the posts of individual people before saying there is no support. You might be oddly surpised how helpful some people are, and draw conclusions from that, as to how ask questions.
