I haven't a clue what "login page" you're referring to, but if the rest of your post is talking about installing PHP, MySQL, etc., I personally don't see what's wrong with visiting the sites for each (php.net, mysql.com, etc.), downloading the packages, and setting them up yourself.
Beyond that... you're just "dumbing it down", so-to-speak, so it's really your preference. Try out the options you mentioned and see which one you liked better.
