MySQL/AMFPHP Connection Problem

I've been trying to create a flash news blog. [ ie; a flash movie is being used to type in updates seperate from the actual website's flash movie where it shows up. ]
When I test the .fla in flash, no data is loaded.
When I open the dbconnect.php file or the posts.php file, it says "couldn't connect to server". I am positive that my database info in dbconnect.php is accurate. Could anyone take a look at these files to help me find the problem? I've been trying to get this to work for a while now to no avail.

Are u sure your username is actually 'DBUSER' and your password is 'DBPASSWORD' and your database name is 'DBNAME'?

try reading the manual on mysql_connect: http://php.net/mysql_connect

Yeah, those are fine. I realized that I had put a www. before the dbhost which I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to do. I changed that, and when I open my Posts.php file and/or my dbconnect.php files in my browser, I get a blank page and no "couldn't connect to server" error as there had been before.
Now when I test my .fla file in Flash, I get this output:

i didn't see any references in the code you sent to amfphp at all. it's been a long time since i tried to use it so i have no idea what the problem might be. my guess is that the amfphp forum on sourceforge.net is going to be much more helpful as the guy who write it cruises around there.

a couple of things seemed odd to me
1) it's probably not a good idea to try and include a file that exists on another server. you should get a hosting provider that lets u connect to mysql locally
2) your classes are a little strange...in some cases the functions return a resource pointer for a db...in other cases they return a string. flash may or may not be able to figure out what's going on.

Thank you for trying to help! I finally came across a different tutorial covering the basics of what I wanted to do, and it worked. I guess the tutorial I had been using which gave me the problems in the original post just wasn't cutting it.
