Got any beginner level examples?

Can anyone point me in the direction of some "example" tutorials? I've probably read about a dozen of them on the basics, and I'd like to start doing something with the little that I've learned so far. I learn by doing, not just reading.

I'm looking for something that will show you step by step how to make a certain scripts. (beginner level) All I can seem to find is tutorials that explain php but don't really give working examples.

Beginner tutorials is a great place to start. It helped me with a lot of my first scripts.

I also have this problem when coming to trying to learn the code.

I bought a book here in the UK called "PHP In Easy Steps" however even though it does explain really well its hard to pick up what its saying.

I am trying to make a contact form on my website using PHP and its not working.
