can't preview my files. Asks me if i want to open or save

Hi all, Obviously i'm a newbie. I've downloaded and installed wamp 5 and i'm using php designer. whenever i open a new php file and save it in the wwwroot in the wamp folder and then try to preview it it asks me whether i want to save or open the file. what's going on? help please!!!:mad:

are you previewing it with File>Open or are you going to http://localhost/file.php ?

the first will not work as you need to run PHP files with a browser thru the server

in php designer i'm working in the edit tab, and then when i click the tab next to it which is the preview tab get the problem. however when i open a browser and type in local host and then the file name i can preview the file; but i want to be able to do this in php designer and not have to open a browser each time and direct to the file i want to preview

does this php designer support this?? and if it does, you may want to check their support area on their site if they have one as this doesn't sound like it's really a php issue

I believe you need to configure phpdesigner to use your default browser to preview pages. It will be somewhere in the configuration/options dialogues.
