[RESOLVED] nl2br simple question

Hi, I know how to attach nl2br to certain strings, the following I can't seem to get it to operate, could you advise?

This is where I want it attached:

<? echo $myrow["newsbody"]; ?>

this is the option I have that works:

printf("<BR><fieldset class='fieldset'><legend><span class='Header'><B>Review</b></span></legend><div class='div'>%s</div></div></fieldset><BR><BR>", nl2br($myrow["cdreview"]));

Please note that <br> is depreciated, <br /> is the form for xhtml
