[RESOLVED] help with a feedback form

Hi i need help with a very simple php script thats giving me a huge headache.

This is the script that works with my feedback form. It looks fine to me but whenever anyone types in, information and clicks send i only get the labels in the email. this is the script.

my problem is that the email comes back looking like this every single time. I have all the variables in the flash movie right.

From:
Name:
Email:
Phone:
Located in:
Comments:

Can anyone help me out? thanks.

Well.. are you sure the flash movie is using POST to send data to your script, and not GET ?

i recommend to troubleshoot the input along the lines:

}

i'm not really sure what you mean. Can you please explain?

put the lines i posted right after the opening php tag of the form handler (code you posted) and see which arrays have values set (the first one should for sure)

though i assume that the $_POST array should be populated too... according to your 2nd post.

i put the code you told me into the script and i tested it out and i saw nothing different in the email.

the email is not going to change, this is just some log-output, which should show up on the website, when the formhandler file (contact.php) is called. if you provide us with that output, we will be able to tell more.

It seems to me that this is a problem with the way you are sending the data from the flash input text fields to the php file.

Whats the whole of your ActionScript code that you are using?
And what are the names of the instance's and or the variables you are using on the text fields?

yay i finally figured out the root to my problem. It wasn't the script thanks for your help sid (and bradgrafelman and middleman666).
my problem was in the level that i was that the variables were in.

I changed

on (release) {
_root.loadVariables("booking.php","POST");

gotoAndStop(2);
}

to

on (release) {
_parentt.loadVariables("booking.php","POST");

_parent.gotoAndStop(2);
}

and stuff changed.

I know this isnt a flash forum and all but if anyone knows, do you know how i can figure out what level the variables are in my movie?
