editing php.ini on os x..

Hello, 1st post here 🙂

I am developing my fist cms application, i am having troubles with file uploads.... i have tried lots of tutorials on the web an i am wondering if the problems may be realating to my php.ini..

on my php info scripts its says the global variables or OFF and that the "upoad_tmp_dir" is not set.

Also i cant find the php.ini on my machine, i understand that os 10.4 makes it automatic or somthing and its normal for it not to be there...

Any help would be good, im dying to get on with making it but dont know if i should put time into learning these tutorails of it isnt even set right..

The manual says, of OSX and php.ini:

A typical default location on Mac OS X is /usr/local/php/php.ini and a call to phpinfo() will reveal this information. If a php.ini is not used, PHP will use all default values. See also the related FAQ on finding php.ini.

Global variables should be off. The default "upoad_tmp_dir" is the system temp dir.
