Regex help: How would I remove the following from a string?

I'd like to be able to process a string that for instance contains:

[quote:1033a18783="Timbaland"][quote:1033a18783="S4XOD"]Doesn't matter![/quote:1033a18783]ok[/quote:1033a18783]end!

And just output a string that now only says:

Doesn't matter! - ok - end!

I dont know much about regex's so Im lost unfortunatly 🙁

Can anyone give me some guidance?

Well, you'd want to use [man]preg_replace/man to match against the string.

You'd want to use a RegEx like:

/\[\/?quote[^\]]\]/i

You'd want to replace it with '', an empty string, and that should give you want you want. Or you can replace it with a space, or whatever.
