[RESOLVED] Regular Expressions: Certain characters in string

Hi all,

I'd like to search for double quotes, an underscore and all letters A-Z in a string. At the moment I've come up with the following:

(?: [_"a-zA-Z])

I included that in a regular expression, although it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

Do you use ereg or preg? This is important because they differ slightly. preg is said to be faster.
With preg regex has to be given inside some "delimiters", e.g /

/[_"a-zA-Z]+/

which says "find a character from square brackets, which is one or more time in the string"
