Problem with firefox

Hello,

I am facing a problem with firefox.
When trying to load a webpage, it is asking me to use IE7.0 or Netscape.

I learnt that, I can use IE-Tab plugin on firefox to overcome this problem and installed the same.
Still, I am not able to get the page loaded!
Now, It is giving the error that "Missing plugins".

Any idea on how to get this corrected?

Why tell us? I'm pretty sure no-one here is responsible for that site. Why not tell someone who is?

(Seeing as you're talking about Firefox, see if getting it to claim to be Netscape 8 will help. http://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/59 is an extension that will do this. My original statement still stands, however.)

I'm positive I didn't - and I certainly wouldn't want to have to on every other page in the site.

Well, I just tried it using IETab and it worked for me.

I looked at the source code and couldn't see any obvious plugins that were required

With Opera I just tell it to identify itself as Internet Explorer and then it allows me. However I didn't find a built-in option like this for Firefox... Is it not also important to consider that the website may use some web technologies that are available in Internet Explorer and not in Firefox so perhaps you should just use IE for this one website. The website is also most likely designed around IE and so any javascript and html code is unlikely to work in the desired way on Firefox.

No, it's not built-in (like, how many people would know what to do with it?) But like I pointed out, it's easy enough to add.

One of the suggested browsers to use is "Netscape"; if it works for Netscape then probably the only thing that doesn't work right on Firefox is the braindead browser detection.

Still, it's safe to say that this is one post that went spectacularly off-course: considering that it was the person's first post, can you see any reason why posting here might have seemed like a sensible idea?

We're not going to be any help, really. What the original poster needs is for the monkeys who coded the site to put down their bananas and fix it.
