php template

Hi I am new to all this but,I have researched the internet and have decided that the best way to design a website that will match my needs is using a php template.

The template i wouold like would be ideally one with drop down menus to sub categories and a search engine, with also shopping cart as well.

I know there used to be one php template available off a web site a guy did for university, but for the life of me i can't find it.

Anyhows anyone who can point me in te rite direction please do - thanks guys

What you're looking for is not a template (which is just a layout of the page), but Content Management System (CMS). Such as Mambo for example. It can be integrated with shopping cart and already has categories and subcategories (don't know about drop down menus - templates for mambo can have it) + search engine built in.
