updating or dynamic signitures

can someone point me towards some tutorial that would explain how to do this. or if someone would like to help me personnely that would be appreciated.

this is what i need to do:
i run a freebie site
a user needs to complete an offer and
a user needs to get X number or referrals in order to get a gift

i would like a signature that shows what prize they selected, if they completed the offer and how many referrals they have/ need

any help would be appreciated

store the prize, number of referrals needed and how many they have in a db table. then retrieve using normal php where you wish to show it
