learning from apps and license

well,if i open the source code for some apps to learn from the way they handle something.does this violate the license?
i do not copy code,i learn and write down my own code.

That would depend on the specific usage license that you agreed to, and whether or not that license is legal and enforceable in your particular jurisdiction (the latter part being something only a lawyer could really answer for you -- and even then it might not be a black-and-white issue).

the application i had some logic from is using the GPL license.and the application i'm developing will be a commercial one and it will be encoded as well.

Basically, if you use GPL software in your own app then that app must also be distributes under a GPL license.

It varies from country to country, but here in the UK you have Intellectual Property rights not only over the source but also over the underlying algorithm. The GPL license in no way negates those IP rights - so modification or distribution for a fee breaches IP rights under the GPL system as well as under IP law.

i did not copy one statment from that application.i took a look to get an idea of how things could be done.
no code copying at all.
another thing,i live where there's no copyright laws actually.but it's just that my religion that prohibits doing this.i can't steal the idea even if no one will know this(which is my case).
so..i took a look at the logic.i took some ideas about how to get something done,and that's it
do i still violate that license!

No, not if you just learnt from the logic and wrote your own code from scratch. Nice to see that you are concerned about another persons work but set your concience at rest.

oh...that's what's written !
i\m talking about what's really done man.no one is held accountable for copying the whole application code(those who inforce copyright laws ,they don't even know what a code is)
all they care about is not to use pirated MICROSOFT software ,you may however get anything else u like 🙂
