How do I modify php.ini?

I have just purchased a new server and am using Plesk. I need to enable magic_quotes_gpc but I'm not sure how to get to the php.ini file? Would I find it from within my Plesk control panel?
Sorry for such a dumb question.... 😕

Login to the server via SSH and look in /etc/

If it isn't there, run the following

find / -name php

That will show all things related to php and will yield php.ini as well.

Be sure to backup php.ini before making changes and to restart Apache afterwards.
