I am looking for a code package for a visually appealing, web-based calendar that can be accessed and updated by a group of users. I have built a more or less simple web-based scheduling application using PHP, MySQL, and also some Javascript, including adapting a fairly sophisticated Javascript menu (and I guess needless to say HTML, also). But my visual display in simple html is not ideal.
What I am looking for has to be accessible/updatable by multiple admin members (group access) with the results capable of being viewed by all website users/members.
It would be ideal if it was expandable, much like MS Outlook is, so that one can see a monthly view and click on a day and see all events scheduled for that day in a more detailed and expanded daily view.
I have been reading about calendars on a couple of forums, including this one, and some have described calendars that are close, but I have not yet found something defined precisely like this yet.
I realize I may be asking for a lot here. I would be grateful for anyone who could point me to (1) a package like this and also (2) any other really good web development forums like this one, where I can find advice, code and at times some help. It stands to reason that someone would have invented something like this already, does it not?
Such a tool would be most useful, would it not?
