The From: field in Outlook Express using mail()

Wrote a kinda simple mail script recently, the problem is:

I won't get the "From:" field in Outlook Express filled using these headers:

$headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n"; 
$headers .= "Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1\r\n"; 
$headers .= 'From: '.$namn.' <'.$mail.'>' . "\r\n";
$headers .= "X-Priority: 3\r\n"; 
$headers .= "X-MSMail-Priority: Normal\r\n"; 
$headers .= "X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2800.1409\r\n"; 
$headers .= "X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1409";

Is it even possible to get the sender written in the From field?

Have you tried switching the line endings to simply \n ?

Have you tried using the -f option in the for the additional_paramters parameter, as depicted in the manual: [man]function.mail[/man] (see Example 1074).

Is $namn the correct variable name, or a typo that should be $name?

NogDog: Sorry, It's the Swedish version of name. ;P

bradfrafelman: No, I haven't tried "-f" yet, how do I do that? The \n has been changed alot, though doesn't improve anything. :quiet:

As I said, visit the manual page for [man]function.mail[/man] and scroll down to example 1074. There they use the '-f' parameter to set the From: header to 'webmaster@example.com'.
