I just installed apache 2.2 and PHP. I can run a program in my browser (IE) if i enter localhost/programname.php, but that doesnt seem right. I'm sure there's a way where i just click on a program name and it will run the program (the way HTML files do).
Does it matter where I store the programs? (htdocs isn't helping anyway)

no there is no other way to view a .php file. you always need to type http://severName/programname.php

so do all the programs have to be saved on htdocs?
how do i access them for a website?
