Has anyone else had some issues regarding their PHP pages and IE 7.0?
I wrote most of these pages before IE7 came out, and tested them on IE6, Firefox, Netscape, And a few other Mozilla Variants. Even on IE mobile and Lynx for Linux. It all worked with the desired outcomes and layouts.
However now that they've started installing 7 there has been some rather unexpected behavior.
First thing i noticed. most forms no longer accept pressing "enter" as submit. Pressing enter seems to run a secondary submit which doesn't trigger my If statements on the page refresh, therefore not submitting any data at all. The only way to submit forms is to actually use the mouse to manually click on the submit button.
All flash buttons I have created now require double clicking to activate and then a click to go to the link.
Alignment went out the window. Things all of a sudden became centered where there were no centering's before. table frames became thick and wide instead of just a solid line. Rules don't appear in the same places.
Session timeouts create unexpected results. After a session timeout, IE 7 is refusing to show any "include" statements. so after timing out the session, the users don't get their menu's to even log in anymore. There are no if statements. Every page has an include menu command. It works fine when starting and browsing, Only after a session timeout does this menu stop appearing. and only in IE7.
Anyone have similar problems and work arounds? I don't really enjoy the prospect of having to re-write the entire thing from scratch just because Microsoft decided it was in their power to change how webpages work
