Reading a file(binary) and parsing it

Hey guys. I need to read a file and parse it for information, but the file is all jiberish, like it is Binary or something, I don't know. It is a file from some estimating software that is the industry standard and is used to communicate between estimating software and shop management systems. So it is ment to be read somehow, but I can;t figure out how.

Is there any way to transform a file like that into english so it is parsable? Like some kind of Binary decoder or something?

Arc,

In order to read any file format you need more information than that.

Without the program, or even knowing its same we don't know what that data corrosponds to, with that some people can figure out how to read it.

Most times people use SDK's, etc, with information on how to actually read the file format appropriately.

Perhaps visit the software vendors website, or contact them to see if they can give you further information on reading the file format.
