Yes, use InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or Quark. Or, camera ready artwork.
Did anyone else click on the name of this thread thinking it was about object orientated business cards... That would be so cool

I'm doing a series of cards now that are just pattern...I should write a script to produce things for me for the heck of it. But, it's so much faster to use Illustrator by about 100x.
Well, I'd be more inclined to Inkscape for that, but ... assuming that 2.1 is the same as 2.2 in this regard you should find business cards under "File->New".

And for business cards I always use illustrator.
