understanding error

Call to a member function getType() on a non-object in /home/topdown/public_html/drukker/Record.class.php on line 207

what is the problem i should be looking for.
the error is occuring in a class im using, so probably im sending the wrong values into the function.

the class im using is xbase, it does DBF files
and the function which gives problems is adding a row.

And look for something like:

$myvariable->getType()

The problem is that the ->getType() object method is being called on a variable that isn't an object (probably null or false or something in most cases). Debugging this should be very simple from there.

Have you created an instance of the class that calls this function? Something like this:

$test = new record();
$test->getType();

xbase_add_record($xi,$na);

xbase_close($xi);
