XML page cannot load

hello !

I have very special case, i tried fopen, fsockopen, in php, then wget , get, on linux, but never had success, i want to download content of external xml file, it's not just stored xml file, it's php file that outputs xml page , i need to tell that php script 2 arguments, thats it.

i can't see why i everytime i try to grab it, get binary data, i can see it in my IE ok, but when try any php script it gets as binary code.
can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong ?

If you do a phpinfo() on your system, what is the value of allow_url_fopen ? If this is set to On, I don't see why a simple [man]file_get_contents/man shouldn't allow you to store the XML outputted into a variable.

sure that i have it enabled, i use exactly that function file_get_contents()

also tried file(), fsockopoen(), all these functions gets some werid binary data.

i can't see how i'm getting binary data, when i put that URL into my IE browser, got nice XML code
i sent you PM with that URL,

i only think that i get binary because that XML is too big, i have no idea what else...

[man]Gzip[/man]. The server is compressing the data using Gzip compression.

The way I retrieved it was:

$test = gzopen('http://export.tipcars.com/inzerce_xml.php?R=abxcyde&F=0661', 'rb') or die;
$data = '';
while(!gzeof($test))
	$data .= gzread($test, 10000);
gzclose($test);

EDIT: I also attempted to manipulate the HTTP headers to force the server to send the XML file without any encoding, but the server/PHP application refused to obey the "Accept-Encoding" and used gzip anyway.
