[RESOLVED] Multiple Progress Bars

I know to do a progress bar I need to have a hidden field named APC_UPLOAD_PROGRESS. Is there a way to have PHP recognize multiple fields such as "APC_UPLOAD_PROGRESS1" and "APC_UPLOAD_PROGRESS2" for "file1" and "file2" inputs?

I have one file at a time working fine but I must be able to have progress for two files loading at same time.

You are looking at old PHP stuff. PHP 5.2 can do progress bars. You can't track more than one file at a time though it seems. If you were to load the apc_cache you can see it only tracks one file.

I see an issue already, in the second section:

data points that are available during the file transfer process if you have the right libraries installed and configured

That would make it hard for a distributed app to utilize.

I wonder how long (or if) it will take to get APC into the core PHP package.

Installing APC took 5 minutes for the support at my server to handle. The instructions look real simple , i just didn't want to mess anything up myself 🙂 You have to make sure when it's installed you have apc.rfc1867 turned on, in your php.ini. The example script above uses a google API to get the response from the page using AJAX, but you can use a normal simple AJAX call.

But how many hosts run 5.2.x and how many of those hosts are willing to care about what you want and install a library on a machine with potentially hundreds of sites that could be adversely affected?

Unfortunately, that pretty much kills my need for it for the foreseeable future. Even though I have a dedicated box, the people that use my, or even your software usually don't.
