Slow loading background image? IE7

If you have a chance to look at this and reply, it would be greatly appreciated 🙂

The header contains a 156 byte background image but someone claims it loads slowly in their browser (ie7). In fact, they say its the last item to load on the page. I don't observe this when I look at the site

I am aware some navigational items in left column are disproportionate when viewed in IE7.

It's the last (or perhaps close to last) item to display for me in both FF2 and IE7 (Windows Vista). However, once it's been loaded and cached on my PC, it displays right away in FF2 when I reload the page, but when I reload IE7 it's still displays last after everything else is re-rendered.

But as a user it wouldn't bother me, as it's not content that I'm waiting to see or anything like that.
