I made a project that´s working, but I´m thinking on making some huge modifications to get it better and lighter...
So you can understand what I have now:
Several initial pages (indexes), one for each club;
Each one of these pages has several links poiting to various sub-pages in which I make the different queries to the tables.
Resuming, whenever there´s a new club, I copy all the structure of my pages and change the select queries of the sub-pages to the correct tables. So, I have it all hardcoded, let´s say.
This causes me to having dozens of sub-pages (I need 11 for each club)...
My idea was, if possible: (that´s why I need help)
(3 pages)
- first page (index)
It would be beautifull to have a primary combo with possible associations from a table, then a second combo would appear already filtered by the first choice and which shows the clubs belonging to that association.
- second page
Getting the association and club ID from the first page to show in this page like an header. (like we´re in association A, club Y)
Then I'll need a couple of links which would direct the user to the last page:
.competition 1 (table A)
.competition 2 (table 😎
.competition 3 (table C)
....
- third and last page
On this final one I should be able to query some data, to show the correct results according to the association, club and competition choosen before.
Once I get here at the third page, what´s the best way to save the choices users made before in the first and second pages?
From the first to the second I'm thinking on a form and a submit button...
For the second one I´m doubtfull... I´d like normal links to click and then get to the final page.
Can I use links like href="3page.php?assoc=...&col=...&compet=..." ?
Is this the best way?
Or it would be better to have another form to submit?
Thanks in advance.
