Please help me with date and time

I am using this:

$todayis = date("l, F j, Y, g:i a") ;

which outputs like this:

Monday, June 4, 2007, 6:55 am

The problem is I am in Utah and my server is in Arizona.
They do not have DST so the time above should have printed as 7:55 am

Can someone help me get it to add an hour to the server's time?

Actually when I inserted that code in place of the original line and commented out the original one the script did not send mail or produce the confirmation page. Just a white screen.

Then you need to turn on display_errors, set error_reporting to E_ALL, and let us know what the error message is (a code snippet indicating which lines were referenced in the error message would also be benficial).

Try setting your server timezone using Hours plus or minus instead:

E.g.

	// Timezone vars
	define ("MY_TIMEZONE", "en-us");
	define ("MY_TIMEZONE_LOCATION", "TZ=GMT-9");

// Set the Timezone
setlocale(LC_ALL, "MY_TIMEZONE");
putenv(MY_TIMEZONE_LOCATION);
