Including external pages

Hello,

I've started a del icio us clone web site. I wanted to attach a small "if you like this site bookmark now" message at the top of the external page when anyone click them.

I will reformat the outgoing links from URL to GO.php?URL=URL

I try require() first. At go.php when I call require("$URL") page shows up but relative links and images are broken. I try iframe but I don't want my message always displays (would be ugly). I don't want to use frame either. Can I include aspx or jsp pages too?

What would be the neat way to do this.

Make sure your images and links have a / before them. This will pull them from the web root.

ie: if you have web_root/inc/html/images/file.jpg

then link to it as

/inc/html/images/file.jpg

Do the same for stylesheets, links, etc.

Let me clear a bit. Lets say a user bookmarked www.yahoo.com. And a visitor see and click that link. I want when yahoo page shows, at the top "if you like this site bookmark now" message appears.

For doing so I manipulate the direct link to yahoo to go.php?url=www.yahoo.com
in go.php
<?
echo "<a href=my-bookmarking-site>if you like this site bookmark now</a>"
require ("$url");
?>

Everething goes ok but the relative links and images at Yahoo page seems broken. So I can not edit the target pages.

As far as I know you'll need to use frames and actually link to the URL, not include it as part of your code.

What you are wanting to do is basically like PHProxy.
You could just modify that to your needs.
