CMS's databases

Hi. I have two seperate cms's I wish to use the same database for username and password. Is this possible? A mammoth undertaking?

Here is my thoughts one would use the others db for username and password but use it's own db for all the cms stuff.

I will probably sub this out. Just trying to figure out if it's possible

Yes of course it is possible. If you just want to authenticate users then you can simply connect to one db for that and another db for content.

On the other hand, if you are using 5.0.3+ then you could also use a FEDERATED TABLE.
