rich text problems

i'm having trouble with my CMS suite i'm using a rich text textarea similar to this one - my editor is copying from word docs and the apostrophes, speech marks etc are coming out wrong... how can i fix this?

for example

They’re should be They’re

i'm then using <?php echo nl2br($row->content); ?> on my webpages

Make sure your html and db table have the same char. encoding (ex. UTF-8) ...
