phpbb - possible to use users from different db?

Hello

I have made a couple of cms systems that require users to login, and have installed phpbb aswell on these systems.

Problems is that users will have to register twice once to login in as normal users and then again in able to use the forums?

is there a way to combine phpbb's users with the normal users so that users only have to login once?

I know this is a discussion probably best for phpbb just curious if anyone has done something like this before?

You will need to make your logins database near identical / you will have to modify the phpbb scripting, i would ask the phpbb people.
