My shopping basket (nearly complete) just stuck on one thing

I started my shopping cart about a month ago , its something I have always wanted to do for education purposes. I have done the main parts.
I just need your input on how I would do the following.

When a user add a product to the cart this gets stored in table with a session id. When the users views the cart it looks something like this

1 x NINETNDO WII £134.00 Delete From Cart
Colour: Green £0.00
Size: Small £2.50

6 x NINETNDO WII £134.00 Delete From Cart
Colour: Red £0.00
Size: Small £15.00

This is great, but now I am on to the section where the customer can order it. Once ordered admin should be able to see the order in their admin control panel.

So do I
1) Do I just take the information from the cart database to display the order

2) Insert this information in to a new table called OrdersComplete
If I did step 2, How would I get this information in to a table, because every order is different in length. There is no need for any calculations, basically I am just capturing what you see in the cart above

I could then email it to the customer as well?

Most of the carts I've seen store the basket in a table that gets cleared every now and then and store the full order with all the order text (not ID numbers since products get deleted) in a different table.

This is exactly the way I am going to do it. I just have to somehow work out how to get this information in to the OrdersComplete table.

Inserting single items is fine, but I am dealing with multiple items so I dont how big I would need to make my table and how I get the information in there.
