PHP Time

hey all,

i currently have a hockey website. i track goalie minutes which goes fine..

what i am now trying to do is make it so i can add the actual time played by not rounding up..

what is the best route about doing this.? Do i change the database type to time?

any help is appriciated.

A time type would make sense to me, as long as the expected values to be stored in it will not exceed '838:59:59' (hours:minutes:seconds).
