How to find 2 variables almost alike ?

I have to compare some answers in a quiz with the right answers.
But if I write IF($var1 = = $var2){echo 'correct';}
it only find it correct if it's 100% correctly spelt.

But what if a spelling error is made in the answers like this.
Correct answer: Don't Worry, Be Happy
Answer: Dont Wurry Be Happie

How do I get a, IF statement to find almost correct answers, like if it's more than ex. 70% alike it's correct like the above example.

you might want to look at a multiple question quiz...

with options

1 opt1
2 opt2
3 etc.

Yes that would be easier, but then you could guess the answer, and in get 100% correct if you are lucky :o)
You have to actually know the song playing and type the song name, this way it cannot be googled.
If there were three options you could easially google the three titles and found sound exampled on the net, and that way know the answer.

But, from the links above, I found the function similar_text which can actually give me a % back on how much to string are alike.
I haven't tried it yes but from examples I have try on some websites, it should work.

I think the other 2 functions would prove more useful in this case.... since it goes off sound/pronunciation which is the most common way someone who doesn't speak English will attempt to spell something... hence wurry/worry/worey would all come out with similiar phonetic sounds I think... where percentage will be skewed, especially for short words...
