Streamin video with the help of ajex & php

HI ..
can i run diffrent streaming video clips on press diffrent buttons on my form.... with the help of ajex..... can i hv code for that.. ???

i f any 1 could help me than im vry thankful to him/her

Firstly welcome to the forum.

Secondly, please note that if you get a useful answer to a post you make, please mark your thread as resolved.

Thirdly...... I think you mean AJAX... and why do you think itd be helpful for you in this case?

Set up your movies with flash, imo, its the easiest most reliable way to stream video.
Make a bunch of links which change which movie is playing.... you might even decide to do it with an iframe, and use submit buttons which are targeted to different pages with different movies on them.

Whatever way you decide to do it, php is not required, neither is ajax.

well can i know about the iframe .. and i don't want to use different pages for different movies thats why i used php for submit the page with different movies on different submit button..... .. i hope this is the right approach

Actually with the help of "AJEX" the page will not reload in the back end .. so for user its seems to b quick that is why i am looking for PHP "AJEX" code....

like i said... you dont mean AJEX... unless you are talking about the Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women (like google thinks).

you mean AJAX... but it wont help you do what you want to. its not intended for that.

all you need to do, is have a javascript command which does a object.source = 'newmoviefile' type command... (i dont KNOW what it is, but it wont be far off that)... however... php wont do this.

javascript will do this.

mind you, im not suggesting its not POSSIBLE that a member of the Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women could help you, php programmers take all shapes and sizes.

however, i am suggesting that if one of the aforementioned once-serving jewish men or women did have the php skills to help you out, that they would probably say something along the lines of "php wont help you, you need javascript"

(this is all meant in the best humour possible :p 🙂)

can i know more about javascript .. can i hv any snnipet of it to understand 'coz i dont hv much knowledge of it...

ok, i cant give you a code snippet off the top of my head, but what you need to learn, is how to either

change the source of an object using javascript...
change the source of a html container, lets say a <div> with a new object.

i suspect that the object.source parameter will be read only, which would leave you only with the second option.

best suggestion i can give you is to go check www.w3schools.org to see what you can learn.
