He uses the google maps API in conjunction with a MySQL database full of the coordinates of every place in the world.
The API script is ran with a loop of PHP MySQL to create the markers on the map.
p.s the site is a social networking service built around google maps.
Anyone else come across PHP and Google maps API before?If so, please post your scripts.
