[RESOLVED] using preg_replace to remove images from RSS

I know hardly anything about preg_replace. And after first checking http://us.php.net/preg_replace I still am not sure how to do this.

So in my RSS feed, I got a few images, which all look pretty similar to this one:

<img src="http://image.weather.com/web/common/wxicons/31/26.gif?12122006" alt="" />

I'd like to remove them all using preg_replace, so then all the images will be replaced with a single space. Any help here?

Here's a pattern that'll match IMG tags:

/<img[^>]*>/i

EDIT: Also, this is a really helpful site when dealing with regular expressions.
