Posting data with header()

In some situations, I want to redirect my user to a page with some information being posted to the page. Getting data is very easy by just extending the URL with the parameters.

Is this possible with the header function. Or is there any other method of accompolishing this???

You can redirect with header, just keep the "information" in a session variable.

Well, I know there are many workarounds to simulate what I am trying to do like session variables as you say.

But I am not looking at them. My question is straightforward:
Is there any way to send data to a php script using html post method without having a user filling out some form (i.e. internally by coding)????

you don't need to submit a form to use sessions either, you can set session variables however you want... this is probably the easiest solution, but of course, yes, you can use curl or http if you really want to

But maybe the second page with the form on isn't on his server so he has no access to it?

how would we know... he never stated that, it's always nice when people can get as specific as possible when posting.
