I am learning PHP and MySQL, Got an error on MySQL Method

Hi All,

I could not able to get the result when I use methods for connecting to database in PHP script.

It complaint the method donot exists.

I was using Ubuntu linux and Installed MySQL and PHP through sympathitic.

Please let me know if I miss any configuration.

I am getting the error at mysql_connect()

It says the method doesn't exists.

Sounds like maybe the PHP MySQL functions are not installed on your host? Try the following in a PHP file and see what it says (if anything) about your MySQL installation:
