Help Needed ASAP

Hi Guys,

Im a newbie when it comes to e-commerce and my boss has given me a job to build a wines website. I am using PayPal as the payment processor although until people pay for goods everything is done through xCart on the websites server.

Everything is working okay until the user has to select wether he/she wants to deliver or collect. deliver is pretty simple as no shipping is added but if the visitor wants standard or express delivery I need a phpcode to do the following;

Standard Delivery

Postage is 0.8316 * total number of individual items in shopping basket.

Express Delivery

The same but with £2.50 extra handling fee.

I know this requires adding the quantitys together but as im not to familiar with xcart I don't know how to do it. Please can you help?

Hey guys,

I am not a big php programmer and can only do miner things. My boss has decided to push me to do more php work by giving me an e-commerce site to produce for a local wine shop. The shop using the PayPal method of paym,ent but untill the user clicks 'pay' everything is done through xCart.

The problem occurs when the user wants the product shipped for this I have been given the following information.

0-12 bottles of wine - £9.99
12-24 bottles - £14.99
The for every 6 bottles £4.99 is added

There is no shipping added when users are shopping as they can come and collect the wine.

I need someone who knows PHP and xCart to help me find the following solution.

Standard Delivery

I need to find a way of working out how many individual items are in the baskey and update the shipping total accordig to the information above.

Express Delivery

Same as standard but with a £2.50 handling fee.

Can anybody help me 🙁
